Fynjorn and Estragon's background

The House of Thex

This is the story of one of the most powerful guilds to ever grace the world of Norrath. They are made up of many races, classes, and personalities. The story begins long before any of the guild founders were even thought of.

Council of Peace

Years after the great war that seperated the Elven race into what it has become today, there was a time where peace and reconcilitation had been considered. Th great Kings of the Fier'dal and Tier'dal met in a neutral place which is known as the Ocean of Tears. Also there at the meetings were both houses of the royal families. At this great meeting were the 2 races of the elves were coming together to rebuild their great nation as it had been in the past( The High Elves were representing the Wood Elves as well as themselves). While here at this meeting Our parents met and fell in love. Elana Thex princess of Neriak and Felyor Thex Prince of Felwithe. The peace talks were to last for 4 days while both sides drew up treaties and negotiated the terms of peace for our peoples. Though things were going very well and looked optimistic, it was not to last. Lord Innoruuk put his hand into the talks. He made a pact ith Mayong Mistmoore a Nobleman and General in the Legion of Neriak. The terms of the pact are unknown but it was enough for Gen. Mistmoore to sabotage the talks by murdering 3 High elf guards. I huge battle ensued which seperated both the prince and princess and the talks were over. As the representatives of the Neriak empire left the island Elana longed to see her new found love once more but for now that was not to be. Felyor at the same time was also longing to see his lad love so he at that moment devised plans i which they could both see one another. Over the next few months many letters were sent via the League of Antonican bards. Plans had been made for them to meet up and runaway together. The date was set and they both met in the desert of North Ro. For 3 weeks they traveled to the great planes of the Karanas. They made a house for themselves in West karana.

Though the 2 lovers had made a great escape and had left both of their lives behind to begin again, their old lives would not let them go so easily. Though their former lives would catch them eventually, for years to come they would have the perfect life and in this time they would bear 2 sons, Estragon who took on the characteristics of Felyor except for a slight hue of blue in his skin and 1 year later Fynjorn was born who took on Elana's characteristics except for he lacked the dark blue coloration and had a pale blue sky coloration. For years they had the perfect family life but soon that would all change and change for the worse.

For the next few years the family lived in realtive peace and tranquility. Estragon and Fynjorn had both taken to studying the arts of their parents, Necromancy and Wizardry. Estragon was not the greatest necromancer and often summoned one armed one legged pets. The same could be said of Fynjorn, he set a good part of the Planes on fire one evening after a area effect fire spell went awry. The two brothers loved to wonder and adventure and increase their knowledge of the mystical arts. One day while aadventuring they ran into a bandit party. They were outnumbered 3 1/2 to 20( Estragon's 1 armed pet). The two boys began battling but as you could tell were greatly outnumbered by the bandit gang. Just as they were about to be overwhelmed by the bandit gang the heard a whooping howl and a giant figure come running through the bandit line. The warrior moved as if one with the wind and cut the bandit's ranks to pieces. Estragon and I were then face to face with our would be saviour. I pulled my cloak over my head to cover my features for I was told as a young lad that because of my color I would be hated by many. Estragon spoke to the giant saying " I thank you for the aid you have given my brother and I, now what are you going to do?" Estragon and I took up defensive postures getting ready for and attack. The giant then laughed out loud in a deep throtty laugh and sheathed his great blade saying that he meant no harm and was only here to help. he intrduced himself as Xanyae warrior of Halas. We both introduced ourselves and thanked him again. He then looked at me saying "why do you cover my face?" He then said "Have no fear, I will not harm you." That being said I then lifted the hood of my cloak to show him my face. He had a surprised look on his face but then looked at the both of use confused. He said, "I thought your two poeples were at war with one another?" I then said as boldly as I could, "Only the ignorance of our poeples keeps us at war." We then sat and talked for hours on end as he told us of his great city in the snowcovered lands, we told him of our lives and our home. He could not believe that our parents were together being that they were of different races of Elf.

We then formed a bond and traveled together advnturing and growing in strength and knowledge together. Now one of the darkest times in our lives was coming.

Estragon and I were very powerful and adept in our respective arts. Our parents were very vigilent and careful to teach us all they knew for time was running short and they knew their families would find them eventually. The night came when their pursuers finally caught the hidden family. Estragon and I were sleep in our room when we heard our parent rush in the door and order us to get dressed and gather our weapons and spellbooks in a backpack. After this they told us to hold tight. Our father then began to cast a spell of teleportation. Right as the spell took effect we saw our pursuers burst through the door and windows, we had bought time. We then appeared somewhere in the North Karana Plains. We then were told by our parents to make ourselves unseen and flee across a the plains to the wooden bridge and run to the East Karana plains and wait for them their in an inn. We were reluctant to go but our parents told us that they would see us there. They then told us they loved us and that was the last time we saw our parents alive. As we had gotten far off into the distance we looked back to see flashes of mystical energy and the howling of men and women. I started to run back but Estragon grabbed me and said, "No Fyn we must obey them, they will come for us I know it." With that Estragon cast Levitate on us both we reinvised and headed for the East Karana Plains.

"Well Prince and Princess", said Lord Mistmoore,"What fight you have given us but your power is nothing compared to one that has been blessed by the god of Hate himself." With that being said he ordered the death of my parents right their on the spot. He later brought their corpses back to Neriak where our mother was buried and he then sent the body of the Prince back to Felwithe, for though they aae enemies the Dark Elves are noble and saw to it that he would be buried by the royal family of felwithe. After that was done the King of Neriak and Felwithe both sent out assasins to find and kill the unnatural spawns their children had produced.

It had been 2 days since Estragon and I had been at the inn and though we did not want to admit it we knew our parents were not coming back. We sat around and wondered what to do next, that decision would be made for us very shortly. Night time came and we had bedded down, We then heard a commotion outside. The assasins had created a diverse while they others snuck in after us. Estragon and I knew it was time for us to go we then gatherd our stuff and began to sneak out but were met by 2 assasins. Estragon and I knew it was either fight or die. The assasin then said, "now you die just like your parents died you abominations." That was all estragona dn I needed to fuel the fire of hatred that bold inside us. They never had a chance against us both together, mercy to the person that stnads in the way of fury of a necromancer and wizard. Their screams alerted the other pople of the inn. They all came runnign around the building to see the burned diseased corpses of the assasins in their death throws. The other assasins then came to aide their companions and they met the same fate except we drained them to they were nothing more than husks. With this done the Tier'dal assasins crept from the shadows but were likewise dealt with. As we looked at the dath we had wrought the innkeepers told us to leave and never comeback. Estragon and I gathered our things and as we were leaving we were attacked by the town citizens that had seen the spectacle we had caused. In the confusion Estragon mumbled one of his teleportation spells and we landed on a temple in the middle of nowhere.

We sat on the temple for hours thinking about what we had just done. We had neve used our powers to kill in such a vicious way. We sat there trying to rationalize our actions to each other but it was for naught we were scared angry children who were upset over the lose of our parents. We acted out our rage on our pursuers, whom were still pursuing us as we sat. we sat there huddled together in a ball staring into space, then we heard a voice. He appeared from nowhere it seemed. He said so you are the two of the prophecy!! We both looked at him puzzled and prepared to fight once more, but before we could move and get our hands ready he had us rooted to the ground. He then said,"Relax young ones I am not here to harm you just guide you on your way." I then said "what are you talking about strange one we are running for our lives we have no time for riddles!!" "Ahh but you see you are a major part of a bigger picture." You see the two of you are hunted for a very specific reasons." said the little man. Estragon then says," And exactly what would those reasons be, and who are these gods you speak of?" "Hehe well little one you have just answered your own question." Th other is yet to be revealed." And just like that he was gone in a flash. With that Estragon and I broke camp. He and I wondered from inn to inn getting lodging when and wherever we could.

In Neriak

"Well King Thex the assasins have been killed we have lost their trail." With a digusted look on his face King NaytorThex waved Lord Mistmoore away. "So the prophecy is coming true." thinks the King.

In Felwithe

"Forgive me my King but your brother's children have escaped." ,said Captain Silverwing. "What was my  brother thinking, he has initiated the end of all we know!" "May I make a suggestion my lord?", said the Captain,   would like to bring in one of the best assasins that Kelethin has to offer." The king Waves his hands and in walks a  small female Wood elf in a hooded black cloak. She bows slightly before the King. "Lord I present to you Marley Litefingers of the assasins guild."

It has been weeks since Estragon and I last saw friend. We have not had lodging for weeks and are out of money. We have been wandering aimlessly throughout the many lands of Norrath. We have happened into a desert area that is harsh and unkind. We were setting up camp when a band of Orcs jump our makeshift camp. Our being so weak we were barely able to drive the orcs off but they got a few good blows in on Estragon and he was suffering from a cut wound to his abdomen. I did all I could to help him but all I could do was stand over him and hold his hand. I then saw blur out of the corner of my eye. It was then followed by a flurry of kicks and punches and before I could even cast a spell I was on the ground with a figure standing over me. The person tied and bound my hands and feet then proceeded to assist Estragon by giving him a healing potion and binding his wounds. Estragon then realized what had happened and ran to my side pulling at the ropes. The stranger then said,"What are you doing he was trying to kill you?" Estragon then said," he is my brother, he was trying to save my life before you blindsided him." The stranger then said," Brother? But he is a Tier'dal and you are a Fier'dal I know you two are related by ancient blood but not as blood brothers so to speak!" "Well accept it, I thank you for your help but we will be fine now." With this the man began to walk away but then turns and tells us to follow him and he will give us logging and food for the night. We follow this man to his home in the town he  called Freeport. A hovel of a town if you ask me but a town nontheless. Once inside he fed us and gave us new clothes to wear. He then introduced himself as Timot. He was a monk by profession,(I have the bumps to prove it). He was charged to protect travelers from the Orcs that ravenged the desert. He then asked us how we came to be, as in how we two were brothers. Of course we could not tell him the entire story but we told him our names, FynjornThex and EstragonThex. We had no idea our names were of royal lineage at this time or that there was a bounty on our heads. He never flinched or even gave us any indication that he recognized the name of Thex and just said,"Ahh see now we all know a little about one another." He then offered us a bed and bid us goodnight. I fell asleep rather fast, but as usual estragon waited for me to fall sleep before he himself drifted off.

I have no idea why I awoke that night but for some reason I did. Good thing too, for out the corner of my eye I see a figure moving as if a shadow in the moonlight coming through the window. The figure was moving  towards Estragon's bed. I then began to mumble an incantation barely audible to anyone. The spell was meant to poison and weaken the attacker but the spell was resisted, and the attacker turned to me and would have killed me if not for Timot whom had crept into the room after the attacker. A fight ensued and the attacker moved like the wind just as fast as Timot moved. stragon woke up and grab me and his stuff and hurried us to the living room. I then felt a sharp pain in my leg. The attacker had thrown a dagger and struck me with it. Timot was in the other room while the attacker closed in on us. Estragon cast his stun spell which stopped the attacker briefly. Timot came storming out the room and grab the attackers arms and unmasked him.....which turned out to be a her. A female wood elf something Estragon and I had never seen. She then somehow twisted away from Timot's hold and jumped through a window. Timot began to chase her but then gave up and ran back to the house. He then saw that I had stopped breathing.

I lay there gasping for air as Estragon did all he could to save me. Timot ran to his cabinet and grab a small bottle of some potion and made me drink it. He said,"This will keep him aliv long enough for me to get help from a friend that just arrived in town today." After that Timot ran out of the house to find his friend. It seemed like it took forever for him to get back but he rushed back into the house with his friend in tow. It was another of the bronzed skinned elves. He took one look at me and said,"You expect me to help this twisted creation!!!" With that said Estragon jumped to his feet and pinned the elf to the wall and warned him that if he did not help he would slowly burn the flesh from his skin. I had never heard Estragon get so upset before but he seemed to snap in that one instant. He continued to say, "I have lost my parents I will not lose my brother to you because you refuse to help him!!" With that said the elf with a frightened look in his eye pushed away from Estragon and cast his healing spell upon me. I was instantly cured but weak from the whole ordeal and was put on the cot in the middle of the room.
Timot introduced the Elf as Solodar Silverpaw of Kelethin, home of the Kor'dal. Estragon and I introduced ourselves giving our born names. When he heard the nams he stood shocked and amazed. He knew who we were and about the bounty on our heads. He blurted all this out before Timot could stop him. Timot then said,"Do either of you know who you are, I mean you arae both crown princes of Felwithe and Neriak." We both looked at one another totally surprised. I then said,"Princes our parents never told us anything about them being a member of the royal houses of these two kingdoms." Timot continued on telling us all he knew about the peace talks the betrayal of Captain Mistmoore and of the bounty on our heads. I began to wonder why we were so sought after Estragon and I never even wanted to rule the kingdoms of Neriak or Felwithe. Timot then talked about the legend of the two brothers that would show the world a new way that was not under the bludgeoning hands of the gods that ruled the world of Norrath. Once again that word that the little man told us about. I asked Timot,"What is or are the gods?" With this Timot asked do you two not use the gods as a conduit of your power? We simply said no, our parents taught us to look within for our strength and power, they told us nothing of these gods you speak of. Solodar then said,"By the grace of Tunare then how do you conjure the magics that you use?" Estragon said bluntly,"We get our powers from our inner strength we need no one to give us our power we are our power."
With this Solodar said goodnight and hurriedly left the house. Timot then said, well we better get going. I then said,"What do you mean we, you coming with us?" "Yes unfortunately my yong princes I have become a marked man as well for helping you." With that said we decided to rest up and leave at daybreak, which was only 3 hours away. What new revelations would we find out about ourselves tomorrow.
