I began my journey aboard a
small shuttle heading toward the Ship bound for Kunark. An ominous red
light filled the western sky as the sun was setting for the night.
With a gasp of awe, I beheld
the mighty ship built by my people.
It was vast beyond belief !
As large as a castle, I tell you !
After a long, yet comfortable,
trip, we arrived in the outpost of Firiona Vie. I was surprised to see
how fast the army had built the encampment there. In the distance, I could
see a huge statue of Firiona Vie, the sister of my friend Ettel.
I set foot on the docks and
started visiting the outpost.
And I knew that now it would
be difficult to return back to my homeland.
My friends and I traveled many
leagues in Kunark... We strode the skies themselves...
We stalked dark, eerie forests...
We delved into caves of ice...
We ran over plains of dust...
We walked through dark tunnels,
filled with unnerving echoing sounds...
We beheld strange sights...
Like this giant hive, home of wasps the size of a grown man, or larger
!
Strange remnants of old civilizations...
The Iksar and the Sarnak, among others.
And we found strange artefacts
of ancient magical power.
Perhaps they had even been created
by the Dragons themselves...
I was glad to have my friends
along on these journeys. Morley, the rouge rogue.
My courageous friend Galilee.
Antoninus the Enchanter and
his faithful pet wolf... Wait a minute?...
Ah! It was my friend Morgannawin
the Druid, lover of animals. :)
And of course, Razael Grimsoul,
the powerful warrior. As well as many others.
Tunare had indeed blessed me
with wonderful companions.
But alas, the local inhabitants
were not quite happy to see us...
And the Sarnak warriors attacked
us viciously.
We faced the wrath of Living
and Dead alike.
We fought beasts as well, from
the wasps...
To the mighty Wurms !!
Those were truly epic battles.
But, luckily for us, these distant
cousins of the Dragons had neither magic nor fiery breath.
From Yetis in the snow...
To strange lizard-like creatures
in the jungles.
Kunark is indeed a dangerous
place!
The beasts there love the taste
of human, elven and wolven flesh alike.
Some of our foes were
twisted hybrids, part Teir'Dal and part giant spider.
Others were just mindless creatures.
The giants there follow a different
fashion then the ones from our homelands. :)
A giant fighting a pack of wolves.
We recovered from the wounds
of battle with my healing prayers and Morgannawin's regeneration spells.
We also found some strange items,
like this staff that Morgannawin got.
She let me use it a bit. Looks
nice, huh?
