This log was taken directly during the game. As much as possible, ooc messages have been edited out, such as auctions, ooc shouts, group talk, guildtalk, tells, sounds of people drinking 18 short beers in a row, etc. "You" refers to the character I was playing that night, i.e. Alruna.
I also took the liberty of correcting a few typos I made telling the tale. :-)
Alruna tells a tale of a fictional
Troll named Gargrim (based on one
of my other character's past lives) who meets a tragic, yet noble, end.
THE GOLD HEARTED TROLL
There was once a Troll by the name
of Gargrim
He came from the Swamps were the
Frogloks do swim
He liked not his life, his fellows,
his Home
All he wanted to do in his life
was to roam
He had a sister, the fair Nukalu
Who brought him more joy than a
fine Dwarven brew
He killed many Frogloks, slew many
an Orc
But then came time to move to Freeport
He heard of an army for the Great
Dark Master
He sought to join them, for gold
they offered
There he met Teir'Dal and fought
by their side
But he met Human Folks and they
touched his heart
Wounded in battle, Gargrim then knew
fear
A priest of Erollisi and his cures
were quite near
Then Gargrim knew Love in his ears
and his Soul
The touch of Erollisi had attained
its true goal
Soon came a Great Battle: Evil fought
Good
Mithaniel and his Knights struck
where Innoruuk stood
On the side of Evil, Gargrim fought
hard
Once the battle was won, he felt
very sad
"Why the killing?" He asked, now
that he knew true Love
He saw a shape move, her eyes like
a dove's
'I must save this maiden', Gargrim
decided
She lay among the corpses but was
yet not quite dead
He kicked to his right and bashed
to his left
Teir'Dal and Undead all 'round him
were cleft
"Traitor!" they cried, as he grabbed
the young girl
Hard he ran through the night, as
the shadows swirled
He ran for the Temple but the distance
was great
They would not let him go, as they
knew only Hate
Arrows pierced his back and his
legs and his arms
As he fell down they both lay on
cool grass
His head was turning, and one thought
was his last
Unto Love I go now, no matter my
past

Galilee cheers at Alruna.
Alruna smiles at the crowd.

Grast pokes barrett to see

Grast tries to steady himself
in the railing
Rhyannia hands set upon the
rail, a smile on her face knowing of Love.
You say, 'I must save this
fallen maiden', Gargrim decided.... She lay among the corpses but was yet
not quite dead....'
You say, 'He kicked to his

Sodah sheds a tear
You say, 'He ran for the Temple

Hate....'
Rhyannia frowns slightly
You say, 'Arrows pierced his

Alruna stops briefly.
Alruna sheds a silent tear.
Barrett waits and watches.
Grast gasps
Shalara wipes a tear from
her eyes
Galilee feels very cold right
now.
Alruna continues with a sad
voice.
You say, 'His head was turning,
and one thought was his last....'
You say, 'Unto love I go now,
no matter my past...''
Alruna has more tears coming
down her cheeks.
Ivian listens intently, forgetting
to write the tale in her book.
Rhyannia understands why Grast
is hesitant now, and decides right then and there to shut herself down.
Alruna says in a meek voice.
"The End."
Barrett draws a kerchief and
offers it to Alruna
Shalara sighs sadly
Sodah claps
Rhyannia claps softly, face
saddened.
Galilee sheds a tear for Gargrim.
Sulla clap
Branin applauds loudly!
Alruna takes Barrett's kerchief.
Ivian swallows a thick lump
in her throat
Branin cheers at Alruna.
Barrett applauds.
Sulla cheers at Alruna.
Alruna wipes at the tears
rolling down her cheeks.
Ivian clapps
Sodah hugs Alruna.
Grast applaudes loudly, with
all his heart behind it.
Alruna smiles at the crowd.
"Thank you."
Lalana smiles
Aiela claps
Barrett says, 'Lovely tale.
A bard should sing it in your honor.'
You beam a smile at Barrett.
You hug Barrett.
Barrett smiles.
Barrett hugs Alruna.
Rhyannia sighs lightly
You say, 'I hope I did not
ruin the joyful atmosphere.'
Branin says, 'That was very
well done.'
Barrett whispers to Alruna.
Galilee says, 'Vely very well
done.'
Ivian says, 'Very nice, I
thought'
Grast wraps his arms around
rhyannia's waist, holding her tight.
Barrett tells you, 'After
that I could use some air, care for a stroll.'
Branin says, 'It is a part
of life. Who wishes to share their live's story next?'
Alruna smiles proudly.
