Barrett tells an epic tale about
a fight with the deadly Ambassador D'Vinn who aided the Orcs in their vile
plot against the Elves of Faydark.
Barrett's Tale (nice version)
Was not but a night ago in the bowels
of Crushbone.
When my companions Serinar, Ryhope
and I did chance upon the evil known as Dvinn.
We had been there to fight the orcs
and drive them from th homeland of our elven friends.
Things were looking grim for many
on the field.
It was then, as a retreat was sounded
that we saw why.
And immediately behind him that
loathesome Ambassador Dvinn.
Serinar gave chase and called to
us to position ourselves. She was about to lure him from his defenses.
Before Serinar was ready they were
upon her.
She gave a cry and we lept to the
chase.
Around the castle walls and over
a hillock.
There, running for her life, a poisoned
Dvinn in pursuit, was Serinar
She had struck a mighty blow with
her magics.
The elven guard ceased their route
as we engaged Dvinn and they began to turn the orcish tide.
I owed Dvinn personally for his
crimes against my family so I relished the fight.
It was not easy for he had allies.
Blood flowed and cries of pain rang
out all around.
In the struggle many elves and orcs
fell before we could corner the dark fiend.
Ryhope had backed him into a corner
by a wall and they struggled mightily.
Dvinn broke free as the orcs came
to his aid.
I thought sure Ryhope would fall,
but she escaped.
There before me as I ran to her
aid was Dvinn himself.
His dagger dripping with elf blood
and suddenly even my own!
Back I staggered.
Then steeling myself to the task
I lept for the bastard!
Dagger against dagger, blood flowing
into blood!
I lost track then but I do remember
looking down over his body.
The orcs and their evil ally had
fallen.

Ivian says, 'Thank you Barrett.
Makes the dirk in my collection more meaningful.'
Barrett says, 'I have the
dagger he was using if anyone wishes to view it.'

You say, 'I would love to
gaze upon it.'
Barrett says, 'Please, feel
free to view it.'
